Our origin and specialty lies with kombucha. Organic tea and sugar are added to a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast to produce this one-of-a-kind beverage. This unique fermented product has been consumed for thousands of years for its numerous beneficial properties. Our plain kombucha serves as the canvas on which we showcase the flavors of our region, with recipes that flow with the seasons. Through fermentation, we are able to capture and preserve a moment within a glass. These drinks make you feel good. And they taste amazing.
Onwards & Upwards
The power of fermentation has no limits. Inspired by our miniature friends and captivated by the spontaneous nature of the micro-cosmos, our experimentation couldn't stop at kombucha. In our taproom you can find a rotating variety of nano-brewed beers, Michigan ciders, local meads, specialty seltzers, fire shots, jun, as well as alcoholic & non-alcoholic kombucha. Our menu is constantly evolving and, while we do have some recurring favorites, you never know what you might find when you stop by. We are driven by a boundless creativity in everything that we produce. Around here, we believe in balance. Days can be spent eating health food, climbing mountains, with late nights at the bar - and that's okay! We make products for all lifestyles and hope to create a place where we can all come together and celebrate whichever way we please.
Small Batch Specialty
At Superior Culture, our variety of beverages are brewed and flavored with freshly pressed fruit & vegetable juices, organic tea & sugar, local grains & honey, herbs & spices- always sourced as locally as possible- organic and wild when available. Our products are fermented in small batches using glass, stainless, & oak barrels, and bottled in glass - minimizing any contact with synthetic materials using the most natural and sustainable processes possible. We are constantly experimenting to create flavors you will not find anywhere else, even if that means a few obscurities here and there. We want to hear your input and are always here to answer your questions on all things brewed and fermented.
